Greenhouse Gas/Coastal Water Management Scientist
Go Back
Letter to Employers:
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to be considered for a greenhouse gas or
coastal water management research position if you have an available opportunity.
As you will note in my resume, I have a Bachelor of Science with a major in Marine
Biology from the University of California Santa Cruz. My enthusiasm and dedication
in the environmental field recently earned me an Honors Class 1 on a research
project at the University of Queensland, Australia. For my thesis, I measured
denitrification and nitrogen fixation rates at estuarine sites located near and
distal to watewater treatment plants as well as several offshore sites. I developed
important skills including the abilities to work independantly as well as in
groups, design and manage an ongoing project, analyze and interpret scientific
data, and write an original piece of scientific work. I would like to further
my experience in ecosystem health monitoring. I am a highly-motivated and ambitious
individual. I believe my qualifications will enable me to make valuable contributions
to an environmental consulting firm and would like the opportunity to discuss
this further. I am available imediately, will consider relocating anywhere, and
look forward to hearing from you soon.
