Resume:

August 20, 2004

Dear Hiring authority,

I am submitting my resume for your review for current or future positions in environmental/civil engineering.

Over the past years, I have worked as a Civil Engineer and research assistant. I have performed a wide variety of activities related to different wastewater and water research projects. Such activities include: planning, design, construction and supervision of various water and sewer systems, flood and drought statistical analyses, operation of a wastewater pilot plant, laboratory analyses, hydraulic modeling of flow distribution at Sacramento Wastewater Treatment Plant, and preparation of project proposals, scientific articles, technical presentations, and progress reports.

Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of New Orleans, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering expecting to graduate on December 2004. My dissertation addresses the effect of ambient and operational parameter in extracellular polymer substances production and its relationship to the sludge settleability in a combined anaerobic/aerobic treatment process without sludge digestion.
I feel the experience I have gained as civil engineer and research in a wastewater treatment plant along with my academic background as civil and environmental engineer would benefit your company in any activity of this area. Furthermore, I am willing to travel and/or relocate.
If you agree that my qualifications are appropriate to your needs, I would be delighted to meet you at your convenience to discuss my application

Sincerely,
Jackeline Luque
