In the last few years I was the Construction Manager for wastewater treatment
tank renovation and coating projects at eight General Motors Plants in Michigan,
Indiana, Kentucky and Georgia. Prior to this I identified, sold, implemented
and performed Facility Sewer Identification Projects consisting of permanently
identifying manholes, catch basins, lift stations at eight DaimlerChrysler
Facilities, which also included review and corrections of facility sewer drawings.

I completed under ground piping survey investigations and facility sewer mapping
projects for the DaimlerChrysler Transmission plant and Chrysler Casting Plants
in Kokomo, IN, and at the DaimlerChrysler Stamping Plant in Sterling Heights,
MI, an Overhead Piping Survey and mapping at General Motors Assembly Plant
in Fort Wayne, IN and I oversaw the operation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant
at the closed General Motors Spring and Bumper Plant in Livonia, MI. Chester
was purchased by U S Filter.
1996-1998 Contracted to Chester Engineers, Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI) and Envirostaff,
Inc. (Denver, CO)
During this period I was the resident Observation & Certification Specialist
(O&C) for Chester Engineers, Inc., contracted to General Motors Inc. -
Wichita Falls, TX during a Waste Water Treatment Plant Demolition Project & the
Colorado Mineral Research Institute, Golden Colorado (a filler project through
Envirostaff between GM project phases).
1994-1996 Envirostaff, Inc. & DBA-John R. Lang (Westland, Michigan)
During this time I did projects for: Wheelabrator Clean Air Systems (Site Supervisor)
This project was reducing hydrocarbons in a refinery sewer system at 98 points
with 1000 lb. activated carbon canisters at each point, Mclaren/Hart (Site
Safety Officer) on a landfill slurry trenching project, Chester Engineers,
Inc. (Resident Eng./O & C) This project with Chester Engineers lasted
18 months and involved the decommissioning of a local General Motor Assembly
facility.
1993-1994 OHM Remediation Services Corp. (Port Allen, Louisiana)
I was a dewatering foreman on a 35 million-dollar sludge-dewatering project
at the Citgo refinery in Sulfur, LA. My responsibilities were to oversee
and fine tune the operation of 21 stationary filter presses and filter press
operators. This included trouble-shooting existing problems and derailing
potential problems, both mechanical and operational.
1992-1993 Self Employed (Brighton, Michigan)
Independent Field Services These services included: overseeing drilling operations,
groundwater well instillations, surveying new and existing monitoring well
locations, collecting soil and ground water samples for analysis.
1991-1992 Dowell/Schlumberger (Industrial Services) (Midland, Michigan)
Sales Specialist with Responsibilities to promote waste reduction services
for the Midland, Michigan district, which included all of Michigan and 13
counties in northeast Indiana. These included initial client contact, sampling,
analysis, project design, formulation of bid quotations, initial equipment
set-up, project start up, monitoring of project, invoicing of client and
follow up with client. Responsibilities also included making presentations
to new and established clients regarding waste minimization and sludge dewatering
projects.
1990-1991 Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc. (Farmington Hills, Michigan)
I was a Field Service Technician II with responsibilities to record monitoring
well water levels, sampling ground water, surveying, free product removal,
overseeing the installation of soil vapor recovery and ground water treatment
systems, as well as their operation and maintenance, preparation of site
activities letters, instrument calibration and maintenance, assisting in
overseeing drilling operations.
1988-1990 Northern A-1 Services, Inc. (Kalkaska, Michigan)
Salesman/Supervisor/Technical Service Representative
Responsibilities: initial client contact, assisting in project design, formulation
of bid quotes, management and follow up of various projects. Projects included:
hazardous materials emergency response, lagoon closures, UST removal, industrial
decontamination projects, site remediation and dewatering projects.
1976-1988 Dowell/Schlumberger (Oil Field Services) (Kalkaska, Michigan)
Responsibilities: supervision and coordination of the activities of workers
engaged in operating pumping and blending equipment to cement, acidize and
fracture oil and gas wells, including conferring with drilling and production
superintendent to determine well conditions, pipe sizes and characteristics
of the rock formations to be treated; computation of amounts of cements,
acids or fracturing materials to be used and establish procedures to follow
according to well conditions; direction of workers in the mixing and blending
of cement, acid and other chemicals and in connecting pipe fittings between
the pumping equipment and the wellhead; observation of monitoring equipment
and pressure gages to ensure that equipment is functioning properly; quality
control including informing workers when adjustments were needed and direct
maintenance and repairs; and contact new and established customers to solicit
work and maintain good will.
1971-1975 U.S. Air Force (Honorably Discharged) 3rd Mobile Communication Group
(3rd MCG)
Mechanic/Supply Supervisor/Work load control 3rd MCG - Tinker AFB, OK
Responsibilities: Initially I performed M-series and commercial vehicle repair.
I was chosen to run an internal parts supply and maintain a parts inventory
for a fleet of M-series vehicles that were the core of the 3rd MCG. A large
portion of these vehicles were directly reportable to Congress and had to be
able to deploy at a moments notice. I later assisted with maintenance and repair
scheduling for these vehicles in addition to my normal duties.
