ABCOW Services, Inc.: City of Oceanside, August 2004-present
Laboratory Technician: Perform physical and chemical tests on potable and wastewater
including: Total Solids, Total Suspended Solids, Volatile Solids, Volatile
Suspended Solids, CBOD, BOD, pH, alkalinity, ammonia concentration and Total
Dissolved Solids. Perform quality control tests to assure accuracy of analysis,
create and maintain logs
for daily use, generate and send reports as needed.

Graduate Research Assistant: Responsible for running experiments for current
research on ammonia emissions from land-applied biosolids. Also responsible
for analyzing and writing up data and also reporting updates to advisors.

Student Hydrologist Trainee: Work on Lower Colorado River Well Inventory project.
Responsible for entering new sites into groundwater database, coding new
site schedules for new wells inventoried, maintaining photo database.
Environmental Careers Organization (ECO): U.S. Geological Survey, August 2000-June

Hydrologic Technician: Collect samples for ground and surface water using NAWQA
(National Water Quality Assessment) protocols along Delmarva Peninsula. Sampling
includes: pesticides, pesticide metabolites, major ions, trace elements, DOC
(Dissolved Organic Carbon), and nutrients. Responsible for equipment setup,
obtaining
latitude/longitude coordinates for the site using GPS, surveying land-use for
the site, collecting, processing, and packing-up samples, and equipment breakdown.
Have also helped in lab in Reston USGS office centrifuging and filtering samples
for analysis. Created and maintained
spreadsheets for data and other information on multiple projects. Review data
that comes back from the lab.
