Job Responsibilities: The CMMS Planner/Scheduler position reports to the Manager of Maintenance - Engineering at our headquarters in San Jose.
Provide functional support for CMMS
Work with Field Maintenance Supervisors to plan, estimate and prioritize maintenance tasks and projects
Coordinate work with Engineering Maintenance to develop and manage Preventive Maintenance Programs
Determine staffing, materials and equipment required to complete work orders
Review and close out completed work orders for content and history
Evaluate equipment performance criteria/condition monitoring and failure analysis
Assist with Engineering asset and maintenance records management
Create new asset records
Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly and other reports as required
Periodically coordinate with outside contractors, vendors and consultants
Prepare CMMS training documents and assist with user training
Participate in and support the Company's Continuous Improvement Process
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma
5 years experience journey level trade experience in the repair and maintenance of water related facilities, or
5 years experience with computer-based maintenance or project scheduling systems
Strong computing skills including MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team-based environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Experience in the following areas highly desirable:
Development of Preventive Maintenance strategies and tactics
Maintenance, repair and project planning and coordination
Computerized maintenance work order management systems
MS Project or other computerized scheduling application
Principles, practices, methods and equipment used in the maintenance and operation
of water production, treatment, storage and distribution system facilities and equipment
Electrical operations control of pumps, motors, wells, reservoirs, chlorine
systems and other equipment used in the water works facilities
Understanding of construction, mechanical, and single line electrical drawings
Understanding of requisition and purchasing process
Trade and safety codes and regulations such as NEC and OSHA
