Job Location: Orange County, CA Salary Range:   Based on experience Job Category: Water Utility - Management Job Responsibilities: Develops and maintains positive relationships with city and county staff and elected officials within the Orange County District. Implements all goals and objectives related to District operations. Ensures all franchise agreements with cities and counties are current and in compliance with terms and conditions. Manages customer service, community relations, utility business development, and systems operations and maintenance. Develops and implements policies, procedures and systems to ensure efficient and effective service to customers. Ensures district is in compliance with corporate policies and procedures. Actively participates in wholesale and regional water agency programs and functions. Oversees the development of operations & maintenance budgets; analyzes and reports on variances. Provides key data and information in preparation of asset planning documents and capital budgets. Participates in the preparation of general rate case applications and long-term planning for the District. Develops and maintains an effective employee relations plan; evaluates the performance of assigned personnel. Communicates, both orally and written, with local government officials, company management and staff, customers, CPUC, and others. Acts for the Vice President as directed. Performs other duties as assigned. Works under minimal direction. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Civil or Electrical Engineering or related discipline, and demonstrated experience in water system operations including water supply, water distribution, water quality, customer service, budgeting, planning, financial reporting and community relations. 10 years of demonstrated experience as described above, with a minimum of 8 years of supervisory experience, may be considered in lieu of college degree. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills. Valid California driver's license.
